The LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens is an expansive collection of specialty gardens, woodlands, wetlands and arboreta. Trees and Trails offers file miles of serene walking paths through the Burden Woods. The Rose Garden, Children’s Garden and All-America Selections Garden showcase the beauty of plants and flowers and provide educational experiences for gardeners of all ages. In all, the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens consists of five specialty gardens, multiple, walking trails, a boardwalk over the Black Swamp and two event facilities

 There is more to the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens than just green spaces. The facility plays an important role in the LSU AgCenter extension and research programs, which support the state’s nursery, landscape, and fruit and vegetable industries; wetlands and coastal restoration; and forestry industry. The Botanic Gardens also serve as an integral part of undergraduate and graduate education for the LSU College of Agriculture and numerous horticulture-related organizations.
