The 26-acre Arboretum and Botanical Garden at Cal State Fullerton features a collection of plants from around the world and is the largest botanical garden in Orange County, with a collection of over 4,000 unique plant species. The garden is a teaching and learning laboratory for California State University, Fullerton, and schools from Orange, Los Angeles and Riverside counties, as well as a space for visitors to learn about world wide plant diversity, sustainability and conservation.

Garden pathways take a visitor through four major collections featuring plants from around the world: Cultivated, Woodlands, Mediterranean, and Desert Collections. Highlights include Southern California native vegetation, Rare Fruit Grove, historic Citrus and Avocados, Channel Islands Garden, an extensive Cycad Collection, Conifer Collection, Palm Grove, Subtropical Collection, and a Children’s Garden.

In addition to the gardens, the Arboretum is home to Heritage House, an Eastlake Victorian-style home, built in 1894 that showcases family life and medical practice of the 1890s.

A suggested donation of $5 per person helps to maintain the living collections.  Monday through Friday hourly parking rates apply, there is no cost to park on Saturdays and Sundays.  Please check the website for holiday closures.
